In the past few weeks, there has been a big change around us. Can you guess what it is? It’s the weather! Up to the end of October, we were wearing short sleeves and were turning on

the AC. However, now that we are in November there are higher discrepancies in temperature as winter will be arriving in no time. So, what can we do to prepare for this season change and “winterize” our homes? Continue reading to learn more!

1. Change your bedding

One of the most important times of our day is when we are all sleeping. As temperatures are starting to drop more in the morning and night, we need to change our sleep environment. Those summer thin blankets will not work for us anymore. Get out all your beddings for the winter, preferably holiday-themed ones (wink wink). If you have those fancy thermal beddings, get those out too. You don’t want to catch that nasty cold!

2. Set up your Christmas tree

Oh well, Halloween has ended, but guess what? We have another special holiday coming up: Christmas! We can change our house to get ready for this. For anyone who has their Christmas tree and decorations shoved in the storage, it is time for you to take those out and decorate your houses! Get out those lightings too and anything that will prepare for the cozy winter mood! Spend time with your family to decorate those trees with ornaments! This is a great way to welcome winter! I mean come on, who doesn’t love Christmas?

3. Clean your heater

Yes, winter is filled with fun and games, with holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas heading our way! However, it can also cause danger in our houses, so we must prepare for this ASAP. First, ensure your heaters are working properly. Yes, we know there is a very low possibility that your heaters will be broken, but not just that, we need to make sure that the insides are clean. Mold and dust hiding in vents can cause health problems! Remember, heaters will be your best friends in the winter, keeping your body warm and cozy.

Although winter is cold, it is truly an exciting time. You can enjoy all those holidays, you have winter breaks, and best of all, you can spend time with your family and friends in those light up streets! To enjoy this coziness and joy at home, you should prepare your house by changing your bedding and setting up your Christmas tree! Although it might not seem important, remember that your heaters should get checked to make sure they can be used without any issues.
