Have you ever been keen to receive a particular grade or pass an exam? I don’t doubt that everyone has been seeking a better method of studying. In this article, I would like to share some of the tips that I gained from taking tests, and I hope this can help others as well!
Focus During Class
Teachers make the tests, and things that they think are important are going to be on the test. They will emphasize specific keywords or tell you it is going to be on the test. When teachers explain those things, make sure to take notes. Those small notes that you take during class will help you when preparing for a test.
Make your second note for the exam
You might have a lot of resources that you can take information from or you have to read for the exams. These include slides that teachers use, notes you take during the class, and worksheets. Bring a new notebook and retake notes, combining information written in both the slides and your notes. Organize information from the slides first, then add others from the notes you took when your teachers explained verbally.
This will help you memorize more easily. I highly recommend this method even though it takes a long time as I believe it is one of the most efficient ways to study. We can write, read the concepts, and own notes that cover almost everything that the teacher said.
After this, you can make the final notes that are concise, and simple, and only covers concepts that you couldn’t memorize fully or things that you think are very useful for a test.
Make a deadline for yourself
You might’ve experienced the efficiency of work increasing when you’re close to the due date. Make a plan for when you’re going to finish all of your work. This would help you to finish your homework and study early by managing time wisely. Also, recording a video of yourself studying helps us focus since we can’t use our phones when recording, and it gives us the feeling of being supervised.
