NETFLIX movies to release your IB stress

As IB students we can all relate in stressing out and overthinking about subjects. But what if there were Netflix series that would make you feel accomplished and satisfied rather than feeling guilty of procrastinating. Well here are NETFLIX movies that would help release the tension within our brains : 


1. ) The Pursuit of ‘Happyness’ 


In 2006 the movie was published and directed by Gabriele Muccino. Actor: Will Smith plays the role of ‘Chris Gardner,’ a Stockbroker who invested all his life savings, sacrificing their family's needs over improved X-rays. His unsuccessful sales of the product enrages his wife Linda, a hotel maid. The financial instability erodes their relationship as they later on decide to call it an end. Watch the movie to find out what happens next. Will things get better with Chris?



2. ) The Social Network


In 2010 the movie was published and directed by David Fincher. Actor Jesse Eisenberg portrays a 19-year-old Harvard student, ‘Mark Zuckerburg’. Later on, dumped by his girlfriend, he takes revenge due to his dissatisfaction by taking advantage of his computer hacking skills and creating an app where male students can rate female students. 3. ) Tick, Tick…BOOM!


In 2021 the movie was published and directed by Lin-Mauel Mirinda. Actor Andrew Garfield takes the role of ‘Jonathan Larson’, a successful rock musical director, who started from scratch, working at the ‘Moondance Diner’. Spent 8 years writing and rewriting the musical, as time ticks, he continues to dedicate to the work despite the deaths of 3 of his friends.
